Scholarship for EWB International Conference

The EWB USA international conference is being held in Denver, CO from March 18 to March 21. Conference details: http://www.ewb-usa.org/conference2010/registration.php To encourage our members to attend the conference and become more involved in the chapter, EWB Boston will be giving out a scholarship that includes reimbursement of the registration fee (up to $400). Total cost (registration+travel+lodging) is expected to be around $1,000. Eligibility requirements:
1. Be a member of EWB USA. If you aren’t already a member, please sign up here: https://www.ewb-usa.org/become_member.php Be sure to select “Boston Professionals” for chapter affiliation
2. Commitment to the following:
- Submit a professionally written 500-750 word article suitable for inclusion in EWB’s regional newsletter. The article should describe your experience at the conference including lessons learned and how you plan on using them for the betterment of EWB Boston
- Coordinate with Honduras and Kenya project teams and find out whether they have specific information needs. Network with other volunteers at the conference and get information back to project teams. The questions and answers need to be written up and submitted separate from the article mentioned above.
- The above two need to be submitted by close of business April 19. Give a 20-30 min presentation summarizing the above two at EWB Boston’s general chapter meeting on April 28.
