Next Chapter Meeting
Our next EWB-Boston General Chapter Meeting is on Monday, September 29, at 7 pm at the Robbins Library, located at 700 Massachusetts Ave, in Arlington. Free parking is available on the street, and the building is a very short walk from several MBTA bus routes.

Open Positions
Sad news: Richard Graham, our secretary, is taking a job in Pittsburg and will not be returning to the Boston area. We will have nominations for both Vice President and Secretary at the next chapter meeting. Voting will start via email on October 1st. The descriptions for both positions are below:

The duties of the Vice-President shall be to perform the duties assigned to him or her by the President, to provide assistance in the operation and business of the Chapter. The Vice-President shall, in the absence or disability of the President, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President.

The duties of the Secretary shall be the preparation of official minutes of all meetings of the Executive Committee and general meetings of the Membership; he or she shall be responsible for internal communication both between the Chapter and membership as well as the Chapter and the National EWB-USA organization, this includes overseeing the content of the website. Additionally, the secretary shall assist in administrative management of all meetings of the Chapter.

We have several great projects starting up. If you are interested in helping with any of them, please contact the following people:

Eva Sinha is currently looking into starting up a project in India that would bring sustainable energy, clean drinking water, and road improvements to a small village in India. If you are interested in working with her on this project, please contact her at: sinhae@bv.com

There will be an EWB Regional Workshop from November 7 – 9, 2008 at University of Maryland, College Park, Washington, DC. Please let me know if you will be attending.
